Tutor Administrative Fee Explained
So that every tutor knows exactly how we collect lesson fees and when each payment reaches you, here are the arrangements in full.
How we collect fees
For each student's course, we collect the first three lessons' fees, of which the first two lessons' fees form the basis for administrative and operating costs.
What you are paid
Once administrative and operating costs are deducted, the remaining one lesson's fee is paid to you in two instalments, settled at the agreed share between you and Hawkeye Education.
How you are paid
When each of the two payments falls due, and how the amount is worked out
First instalment
Within 7 days of the first lesson, we pay 50% of the first lesson's fee.
Second instalment
Within 7 days of the third lesson, we pay the balance — the third lesson's fee less the 50% already paid.
If the student stops after the second lesson, we pay 50% of the second lesson's fee within 7 days.

All lesson fee and administrative fee calculations follow the lesson rates we publish.
If a student withdraws partway, changes class, or any special circumstance beyond the above arises, the administrative fee and the tutor's due payment will be handled separately under our established policy.
